The idea of Outdoor Nature Jamboree came when watching a group of teens at a Pagan festival being, well, kids. I watched as they were making friends and socializing. While my own son goes to public school, several of the kids were homeschooled.

Most Christian homeschooled kids are able to socialize at church functions, but what about Pagan homeschoolers? Thus the idea was formed to create a retreat for the kids to meet and socialize and make new friends in a friendly and safe environment.

In the midst of forming the idea for a retreat for Pagan homeschoolers, we formed a SpiralScouts ProtoCircle. We are working toward our charter. This would be a perfect platform to introduce SpiralScouts to other Pagan kids, and would give the existing scouts new opportunities to work toward badges and pins.
